What you’ll do
As Strategic Key Account & Growth Manager, you will play a hybrid role that combines strategic account ownership with insight-driven acquisition of new high-value customers.
You will work closely with senior finance stakeholders (CFO, Group Treasurer, Head of Payments) in complex, regulated environments, positioning Isabel as a trusted long-term partner rather than a transactional vendor.
This role balances:
20% Strategic Account Management
80% Targeted Acquisition of new strategic customers
Your tasks will include:
Strategic Account Management (≈20%)
Own and grow a limited portfolio of Isabel’s most valuable and strategic customers.
Build trusted relationships with senior financial stakeholders.
Develop and execute account plans focused on retention, expansion, and long-term value creation.
Lead renewal and expansion discussions using a value-based approach.
Act as the commercial owner of the account, coordinating internally with Customer Success, Product, Support, and Partners.
Capture and articulate customer insights to understand why Isabel delivers value in complex banking environments.
Targeted Acquisition & Strategic Growth (≈80%)
Analyze Isabel’s most successful customer profiles to identify patterns and high-potential target segments aligned with our ICP.
Translate customer insight into focused target account lists and value hypotheses.
Identify, research, and prioritize new prospects that closely resemble Isabel’s best customers.
Lead executive-level prospecting and discovery with CFO, Treasury, and Payments stakeholders.
Own the full sales cycle for targeted new customers, from first contact through deal closure and onboarding transition.
Contribute market and customer insight to the continuous refinement of Isabel’s go-to-market strategy.
What Success Looks Like in the First 12 Months
Strong, trusted relationships established with key stakeholders across your assigned accounts.
High retention and measurable expansion within strategic customers.
A healthy, high-quality pipeline aligned with Isabel’s ICP.
Acquisition of net-new strategic customers that closely match our best-customer profile.
Active contribution to refining our ICP, messaging, and sales approach through field insight.
Job requirements
What makes you a great fit
This is a senior, consultative role focused on relevance, depth, and long-term value, not high-volume sales activity.
You’ll thrive in this role if you:
Senior experience in banking, payments, treasury, or FinTech.
Proven track record managing strategic or enterprise customers in complex, regulated environments.
Comfortable engaging at CFO, Group Treasurer, and Payments leadership level.
Experience combining long-term account ownership with selective acquisition of new customers.
Strong consultative and value-based selling mindset.
Structured, reliable, and comfortable managing long sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
Curious, analytical, and motivated by understanding customer complexity.
What This Role Is Not
Not a high-volume outbound or transactional sales role.
Not an SMB-focused or purely operational account management role.
Not suited for profiles without exposure to banking or corporate finance contexts.
