What you’ll do

 

You’ll manage and ensure the successful delivery of 2 security-related initiatives: a Mobile Security App that provides advanced protection features & an Anti-Fraud Tool to improve fraud detection, investigation and handling capabilities.

 

  • Define project objectives, scope, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. 

  • Translate business needs into actionable project plans aligned with strategic goals. 

  • Develop detailed project plans including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and budget forecasts. 

  • Lead project kick-offs and ensure all team members understand their roles and responsibilities. 

  • Assemble and coordinate internal & external cross-functional project/delivery teams. 

  • Facilitate collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

  • Resolve conflicts and remove blockers to maintain momentum. 

  • Maintain regular communication with internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Manage expectations and ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and deliverables. 

  • Identify potential risks and issues early in the project lifecycle. 

  • Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans. 

  • Escalate critical risks to governance bodies or the PMO as needed. 

  • Monitor project budgets and ensure cost control. 

  • Optimize resource utilization and adjust plans based on availability and constraints. 

  • Track project progress using KPIs and performance metrics. 

  • Provide regular status updates to sponsors, PMO, and steering committees. 

  • Ensure transparency and early warning of deviations. 

  • Ensure compliance with standards and processes to PMO standards, templates, and methodologies. 

  • Participate in portfolio and delivery board meetings. 

  • Contribute to benefit realization tracking and lessons learned documentation. 

  • Manage change requests and assess their impact on scope, timeline, and budget. 

  • Facilitate stakeholder buy-in and communication for approved changes. 

  • Conduct post-project reviews and capture lessons learned. 

  • Recommend improvements to project delivery processes and tools. 

  • Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations and internal risk frameworks by proactively identifying, assessing, mitigating, and monitoring risks in alignment with regulatory expectations and company policies. 

Job requirements

What makes you a great fit 

You’ll have to combine strong Project Management skills with product and technical knowledge to be able to meet business objectives and customer expectations.  

You’ll thrive in this role if you: 

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Business Administration). 

  • PMI, PRINCE2 are increasingly expected or preferred. 

  • 5–8 years of hands-on experience managing full project lifecycles. 

  • Proven track record of delivering medium to large-scale IT projects. 

  • Good command of English, Dutch and French.

  • Experience in both internal and client-facing environments. 

  • Strong command of project management tools: MS Project, Jira, Confluence. 

  • Understanding software development life cycles and DevOps principles. 

  • Experience in risk identification, mitigation planning, and escalation. 

  • Budgeting, cost tracking monitoring. 

  • Domain knowledge in payments & security is highly valued. 

  • Previous experience within highly regulated industries (banks, telco’s, insurance, …) and/or closely scrutinized projects (EU-commission, NATO, …). 

  • Ability to quickly learn product-specific technical details. 

  • Skilled in motivating cross-functional teams, resolving conflicts, and fostering accountability. 

  • Excellent communication tailored to diverse audiences (technical, executive, client). 

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and expectation management. 

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, shifting priorities, and organizational change. 

  • Proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvement. 

  • Data-driven decision-making using KPIs and performance metrics. 

  • Ability to anticipate issues and implement corrective actions swiftly. 

  • Familiarity with PMO frameworks, reporting standards, and governance boards.
